Speech Tutor System for Adult/teen
Professional Nasality and Pitch Training at Home The Speech Tutor System, used extensively in clinics and hospitals for clear speech development, is now available in a home version. Based on over 30 years of research and use, the Speech Tutor provides an accurate, reliable home therapy and training system for improving nasality and pitch.
This affordable system lowers the cost of therapy and makes professional sessions more effective. Clear, immediate feedback from the software lets home users understand speech errors, gain objective feedback and visualize goals. Professionals can assign lessons or activities, record comparison models and review client practice recordings.
About the Speech Tutor Easy to set up and use, the Speech Tutor system offers home users comprehensive modules to address the proper control of the important speech parameters of voice pitch and nasality. The system features a soft OroNasal mask for speech input, Windows software for practice using a computer*, Nasality and Pitch modules and a user guide.
The mask separately measures nasal and oral airflows. The software visually displays nasalance or pitch during speech. On-screen displays provide immediate, real-time visual feedback. Captured speech segments provide both visual and auditory feedback for post-capture analysis.
Who can use it? Speech Tutor works on its own or as a supplement to professional therapy and is most appropriate for children and adults with speech disorders related to neurological conditions, cleft palate, moderate-to-severe hearing impairment and speech training after a cochlear implant. It is also valuable in learning to speak a new language.
How does it work? This speech training system uses a unique OroNasal CV dual-chamber, pneumotach mask technology that minimizes sound cross-leakage between nose and mouth chamgers, reducing problems found in external microphones. The soft, comfortable mask flexibly reshapes itself to fit different faces and separates airflow from nose and mouth without using a hard separator plate or a strap-on head device. As the user speaks, the mask separately measures and records their nasal and oral airflows, and the clinically proven software visually displays nasalance and pitch during speech. A Nasality module helps adults and children who need to improve nasality and velar function, including the deaf and people with severe hearing loss. The Pitch module allows users to focus on their voice pitch, and provides target training and model comparison practice for the hearing impaired, language learners, and those with pitch-related speech impairments. 30-day return policy.
