I purchased this alarm clock because I am partially blind and partially deaf. The vibration pad works well and the analog clock face lights up well with bright numbers. When I wake during the night I like to look at the clock to see what time it is. I could see the numbers fine, but the hour and minute hands were invisible. The glow in the dark bands on the hands were not glowing even after having placed them in direct sunlight for ten hours. I contacted the manufacturer's customer service and was informed that the hands would not glow beyond three hours time. I have had other other illuminated clocks and I have never heard of the glow in the dark feature wearing off after just three hours. My other clocks lasted easily throughout the entire night. I understand that it needs to charged every so often, but the product was supposed to be made for people with disabilities and should be designed to help us out better. I am returning it as a defective product.
