Description   The Freedom Wand™ Self Wipe Toilet Tissue Aid Finally, a product that gives you your freedom and modesty back! The Freedom Wand™ is a self-wipe, sanitary, easy to use, portable, personal toilet tissue aid. It's specifically designed for personal cleaning and hygiene for anyone with limited mobility. What the Freedom Wand™ Is and All It Can Do: The Freedom Wand™ comes in three pieces the handle, the extension and the head. Use the Freedom Wand™ with the handle and head for a total of 14 inches in length or add the extension for 21 inches.  The Freedom Wand™ also comes with a carry bag, which is large enough to hold the Freedom Wand™, sanitary wipes and a small cleansing gel.  Because it's made from a polypropylene material, the freedom wand is very durable and easy to clean. HOW IT WORKS: The Head: The head is 9 inches long and has a slight curve to it to allow for proper reach. The head also has four "fingers" that extend out of the wand with the slide of a button. As they extend, they open to hold a shaver, sponge, ointment pad, tissue wad or other items. When sliding the button back, the fingers go back into the wand, "locking" it in place and giving it a tight grip, strength and a smooth end. To release an item, just "unlock" and slide the button back. It is that easy! The rinse hold in the head helps aid with cleaning in case any soil should get in the wand. The Extension: The extension is a 6½ inch piece. When combined with the head and the handle, the wand becomes 21 inches long. If a shorter wand is desired, the head and the handle can be put together without the extension for a length of 15½ inches. Both the extension and the handle have quick and easy release buttons. The Handle: The handle is approximately 8 inches long. It is contoured for ease in holding and has a rubber covering to eliminate slipping. It also has a loop on the end so that you can hang it in a convenient spot. Holds a small wad of tissue to apply ointment to the sensitive parts of your body with a rash. Disposes soiled tissue right into the toilet very easily and you don't have to touch it! The Occupational Therapists that have been "testing" the freedom wand™ have found many other items it can hold such as: pens, pencils, crayons, markers, lipstick pencils and a toothbrush to name a few. Miracle Device December 11, 2008 Reviewer: Esther B.   I am so glad I stumbled across an ad for your device while looking up occupational therapy infprmation on the web.  As an OT for over 10 years, I have longed for toileting aid device that was easy to use and efficient. I wish I had it when I worked in hospital setting years ago.  As an Occupational therapist in public school system, I ordered it for use with a 7th grade student who has significant limitations in his shoulder range of motion due to congenital issues.  He has been unable to be independent with wiping, which has impacted his hygiene and social acceptance.  The freedom wand arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to have him try it out today.  He has synadactyly of both hands (3 fingers on each hand) and is able to utilize the device with its wonderful "grabby fingers".  Practice will make perfect!!  Am so grateful for your invention.  Will share the word with other therapists!! Works 100% As Described October 26, 2008 Reviewer: Mike P. from Taunton, MA United States   After breaking my right arm I was panicked and depressed because I was unable to do the most basic of hygiene duty of wiping myself and didn't know what I was going to do. After a Google Search I discovered the Freedom Wand and am thankful that I did.  The Freedom Wand absolutely gave me the freedom that I needed and was a lifesaver when wiping.  I also discovered that by adding a sponge the Freedom Wand was also very useful in the shower when trying to get to those hard to reach places.
